Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani‘s youngest son, Anant Ambani, is preparing to marry Radhika Merchant on July 12 in a lavish Mumbai wedding.
The couple‘s opulent wedding invitation has become a sensation on social media. Packaged elegantly in a box, the oversized card features a magnificent silver temple adorned with images of various Hindu deities. A video unveiling the invitation was recently shared on Instagram, capturing the moment it was first offered at Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Upon opening the box containing the silver temple, melodious Hindi mantras can be heard in the background, and inside are miniature gold idols against a silver backdrop.
Within the wedding box, a heartfelt handwritten letter from Nita and Mukesh Ambani greets the recipients. Following this, small cards provide details about the different wedding events, each accompanied by a pop-up card featuring depictions of Lord Krishna, Lord Ganesh, and Goddess Durga.
The main wedding card resembles the grand entrance of an ancient temple, complete with intricate imagery of Hindu deities such as Lord Ganesh, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, Radha-Krishna, and Goddess Durga. Additionally, a cloth bearing the initials “RA” (Radhika and Anant) is included. Another version of the invitation is a silver box embellished with depictions of Lord Vishnu, containing tiny frames and idols of Hindu gods, along with a shawl.
Anant Ambani proposed to Radhika at the revered Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, alongside the banks of the Banas River. Their engagement ceremony, followed by a dinner with close family members in 2023, marked the formalization of their relationship.
Their pre-wedding celebrations in 2024 were standout affairs. The festivities commenced in Jamnagar, Gujarat, drawing international figures such as Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates to partake in the festivities among their fellow billionaires. Performances by Rihanna and Diljit Dosanjh added to the glamour of the occasion.
The second grand event unfolded aboard a cruise ship christened “La Dolce Vita,” echoing the ambiance of an Italian summer, anchored in Portofino. Spanning from May 27 to June 1, the event further underscored the couple’s celebration of their union.
