Priyanka Chopra, the global icon and Bollywood star, returned to India for her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding to Neelam Upadhyaya and shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from the celebrations on social media.
She delighted fans by posting snippets from various wedding functions, including the mehendi, haldi, and sangeet ceremonies. Some viral photos also featured veteran actress Rekha, who was part of the festivities.
Rekha was spotted wearing an ivory saree paired with stunning Sabyasachi jewelry, including a massive necklace that Priyanka had worn at her 2018 Hindu wedding to Nick Jonas. Priyanka and Rekha previously worked together in the 2006 film *Krrish*.
The wedding was also attended by Nick Jonas’ parents, Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas, as well as members of the Ambani family, including Nita Ambani and Shloka Mehta, along with Priyanka’s sister Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha. However, no other major Bollywood celebrities were seen at the event.
Siddharth Chopra and Neelam Upadhyaya had a traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony. Siddharth, a producer, is married to Neelam, an actress known for her roles in Tamil and Telugu films. Neelam’s acting debut was in the 2012 Telugu movie *Mr. 7*, and she entered Tamil cinema in 2013 with *Unnodu Oru Naal*. Siddharth was previously engaged to Ishita Kumari and had a past relationship with Kanika Mathur.
Rekha, who began her career as a child actress in Telugu films, made her Hindi film debut in 1970 with *Sawan Bhadon*. Known for her timeless beauty, Rekha has appeared in around 180 films and received numerous accolades. Some of her iconic movies include *Umraao Jaan*, *Silsila*, *Khoobsurat*, and *Khoon Bhari Maang*.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is preparing for her return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, starring alongside Mahesh Babu. On the Hollywood front, she is busy filming the next season of *Citadel* and has other exciting projects in the works, including *Heads of State* with Idris Elba and John Cena, and a role as a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in *The Bluff*.
