Pop star Justin Bieber arrived in Mumbai early on Thursday, July 4, ready to perform at the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Media reports indicate that Bieber will entertain guests at their sangeet ceremony scheduled for Friday, July 5. The event is expected to draw Bollywood celebrities, business figures, and other dignitaries.
This marks Bieber’s return to India after seven years. Previously, he had planned a concert in India in 2022, which was canceled due to health issues. According to reports, Bieber’s fee for performing at the sangeet ceremony is a staggering Rs 83 crore, surpassing fees charged by other international pop stars like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Akon, who have also performed at Ambani family events.
Rihanna reportedly charged Rs 74 crore for her performance at Anant and Radhika’s initial pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar, while Akon’s fee ranged from Rs 2 to 4 crore. Shakira commanded Rs 10 to 15 crore for another pre-wedding event, and Katy Perry received Rs 45 crore for a performance on a cruise. Beyonce, who performed at Isha Ambani and Anand Parimal’s wedding, charged Rs 33 crore at that time.
The sangeet ceremony for Anant and Radhika will take place at Antilia, the Ambani residence in Mumbai, on July 5. Their traditional wedding is scheduled for July 12, promising a star-studded affair. Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey are also expected to perform at the event.
Earlier this year, Anant and Radhika hosted an extravagant pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar, featuring renowned artists. They later enjoyed a second pre-wedding bash aboard a cruise with performances by Katy Perry, Pitbull, The Backstreet Boys, and Andrea Bocelli.
