Jitendra Kumar, born into a family of engineers in Khairthal, Rajasthan, on September 1, 1990, harbored a passion for imitating Bollywood stars from a young age, with Shah Rukh Khan being his favorite. Pursuing his family‘s engineering legacy, he attended IIT Kharagpur, where his involvement in theatrical productions and the Hindu Technology Dramatics Society intersected fatefully with Biswapati Sarkar, marking the genesis of their successful content creation journey at TVF (The Viral Fever).
Joining TVF in 2012, Jitendra Kumar made his internet debut in the viral “Munna Jazbaati: The Q-tiya Intern” video in 2013, propelling him to online fame. Subsequently, his YouTube sketches garnered widespread attention, leading to roles in various TVF productions such as “Mr. & Mrs.,” “ImMature,” and “TVF Tripling.” However, it was his portrayal of ‘Jeetu Bhaiya’ in “Kota Factory” that catapulted him to nationwide acclaim, particularly resonating with engineering students.
Following the success of “Kota Factory,” Jitendra’s role as ‘Abhishek Tripathi’ in the web series “Panchayat” further solidified his position in the industry, earning him accolades and awards, including Best Actor in a Series (Male) at the 2022 Filmfare OTT Awards. Concurrently, he ventured into Bollywood, starring opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” and headlining his solo film “Jaadugar” on Netflix in 2022, which garnered significant acclaim.
Despite his current success, Jitendra Kumar’s journey faced setbacks, with a period of disillusionment prompting him to briefly abandon acting and pursue a civil engineering career. However, the resurgence of his acting prospects, catalyzed by the popularity of “Munna Jazbaati,” led him back to Mumbai, where he recommenced his acting endeavors with TVF.
Despite his prominence, Jitendra prefers maintaining a low profile, with minimal personal content shared on his Instagram, where he boasts 1.6 million followers. While speculation about his romantic life abounds, Jitendra remains focused on his acting career, continually impressing audiences with his talent and versatility.
