On September 8, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl. Deepika shared the news via Instagram Stories with her 80.2 million followers, re-posting a playful Reel that read, “Me when my husband tells me he will be home at 5:00 and it’s now 5:01.”
Currently enjoying motherhood, Deepika shared a lighthearted video dedicated to Ranveer, where she humorously portrays her patience while waiting for him at home, reflecting the warmth and joy of their family life.
The announcement of their baby girl came through Deepika’s Instagram, where she shared a fun clip showing a baby eagerly running to the door and peering out with binoculars, perfectly capturing the excitement of waiting for a loved one. She tagged Ranveer in the post and added a smiling sticker for added charm.
Deepika and Ranveer were married in November 2018, in a combination of traditional Konkani Hindu and Sikh Anand Karaj ceremonies at Lake Como, Italy.
On the professional front, Deepika made her acting debut in 2006 with the Kannada film “Aishwarya,” directed by Indrajit Lankesh. Her first appearance on screen was in Himesh Reshammiya’s music video “Naam Hai Tera” in 2005.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with “Om Shanti Om,” alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and has since starred in films like “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” “Chandni Chowk to China,” “Love Aaj Kal,” and “Chennai Express,” among others.
Deepika played the lead role opposite Ranveer in the 2015 historical romance “Bajirao Mastani,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which also starred Priyanka Chopra.
She portrayed Rani Padmavati in the 2018 historical drama “Padmaavat,” also directed by Bhansali, which featured Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer, along with a supporting cast including Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh.
Her recent projects include “Gehraiyaan,” “Pathaan,” “Fighter,” and “Kalki 2898 AD.”
Next, she will star alongside Ranveer in the upcoming film “Singham Again,” directed by Rohit Shetty.
