Parineeti Chopra is filled with joy as she celebrates Diwali, one of her favorite festivals, alongside her husband Raghav Chadha and family.
Reflecting on the festive season, she shared on social media, “It’s a big festive week for us! First Karwa Chauth, followed by my birthday, which is the biggest festival of all!” (laughs).
Parineeti noted that her family traveled from Ambala to Delhi for the celebrations, making it easier for everyone to come together. She expressed, “The cherry on the cake is that I get to see Raghav,” highlighting how her busy schedule has involved traveling between London, Delhi, and Mumbai for work.
Amid the bustling Diwali preparations at home, Parineeti mentioned that she had a clear choice for the celebration—either a solo Diwali in Mumbai or a family gathering in Delhi. She emphasized, “It’s the people who make it a festival; family is what matters. In Delhi, people visit each other’s homes. I just came from a pooja at our house. It’s wonderful to see how people decorate their homes.”
This Diwali is particularly special for Chopra, thanks to the success of her latest film, *Chamkila*, with Diljit Dosanjh, which has received widespread acclaim. She joked, “I’m going to have a very Chamkila Diwali.”
For Parineeti, Diwali isn’t complete without hands-on decorating. She fondly reminisced about her childhood Diwalis when her mother would give her a box of candles to place around the house. “As a child, I would receive a carton of candles from mom, and it was my job to set them up in the gardens and on the terrace. I loved that time alone. Then my brothers, Sahaj and Shivang, and I would argue over who would light the candles. Decorating is still very important to me. I create our rangoli and choose decorations. The joy of decorating your home and mandir comes from doing it yourself. I would do it even when I was alone in Mumbai, and doing it with my family is something I truly cherish.”
