Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, have officially parted ways, with their divorce proceedings taking place at Bandra High Court. Both were present for the hearing.
However, what drew public attention was Chahal’s choice of attire—a black t-shirt with the bold statement, *”Be Your Own Sugar Daddy.”* Initially covered by a hoodie, the message became visible as he left the court, sparking widespread discussion and speculation among fans.
Chahal and Dhanashree had tied the knot in December 2020 but separated in June 2022. They filed for divorce by mutual consent on February 5. However, under Section 13B(2) of the Hindu Marriage Act, such petitions require a mandatory six-month waiting period before being considered by a family court.
For the court appearance, Dhanashree kept her look simple in a white t-shirt and jeans, while Chahal’s statement-making outfit quickly went viral, with many interpreting it as a subtle response to their separation.
