Actors Shantanu Maheshwari and Khushalii Kumar are set to collaborate for a psychological thriller titled ‘Crossfire’, under the direction of Harish Raut, blending elements of suspense and drama.
The narrative revolves around Ipsita Dhar (portrayed by Khushalii) and Bhanu Pratap Singh (played by Shantanu), whose lives intertwine after Bhanu’s release from prison. Ipsita becomes pivotal in Bhanu’s journey towards redemption, navigating through themes of love, betrayal, and the pursuit of inner peace. Their relationship delves into the intricate complexities of human emotions and the repercussions of one’s choices.
Discussing his involvement in the project, Shantanu expressed his immediate attraction to the script, emphasizing the challenging nuances of his character that redefine conventional moral standards. He views his role as an opportunity for profound exploration as an actor.
Equally enthusiastic about her role, Khushalii shared her excitement for being a part of ‘Crossfire’, citing the captivating storyline that promises a compelling fusion of suspense and emotional depth.
Director Harish Raut highlighted the film’s genre as a psychological thriller with a profound human drama underpinning it. He sought young actors capable of authentically embodying the intricacies of the characters, ultimately selecting Shantanu and Khushalii for their roles. Workshops with the entire cast are scheduled to precede filming, slated to commence in October.
