“Samantha Ruth Prabhu Reflects on Past Film Roles, Calls *Citadel: Honey Bunny* Her Most Challenging Project”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has candidly reflected on her recent films, admitting that she “might not have done my best” in them. During an Instagram Ask Me Anything session on Monday, the actress acknowledged making “some mistakes in the past.”

When discussing her upcoming project *Citadel: Honey Bunny*, Samantha described it as the “most layered, complicated, and challenging role” of her career. She also made a remark that led fans to speculate about her personal life, suggesting that she “should have spied” in her own life.

In response to a question about her character in *Citadel* and the effort put into the role, Samantha shared, “I made a promise to myself to challenge myself with every role, each one harder than the last. I accept that I made mistakes in the past, and things didn’t always work out. I accept failure and admit that I might not have given my best in my last few films.”

She went on to explain her pride in *Citadel*, saying, “I’m truly proud of it, even before its release, just for the fact that I completed the project. It is, in my opinion, the most layered, complicated, and challenging role of my career, but I’ll let you be the judge of that,” ending with a smile.

Samantha’s recent films include *Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal* and *Yashoda* (2022), and *Shaakuntalam* and *Kushi* (2023). *Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal*, directed by Vignesh Shivn, also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, grossing over ₹50 crore globally. *Yashoda*, directed by Hari-Harish, earned ₹32.13 crore worldwide.

*Shaakuntalam*, directed by Gunasekhar and featuring Dev Mohan and Mohan Babu, grossed only ₹11 crore globally. *Kushi*, directed by Shiva Nirvana and starring Vijay Deverakonda, performed better, earning ₹76 crore worldwide.

Samantha’s next project is *Citadel: Honey Bunny*, where she stars alongside Varun Dhawan. This action-packed series, which is the Indian installment of the global *Citadel* franchise, will be released on Prime Video on November 7.
