Recently, he was seen driving a new addition to his collection, a Range Rover SV luxury SUV worth Rs 5 crore, marking his first-ever Range Rover.
A video shared by Cars For You on YouTube, recorded at Mumbai airport, shows Tendulkar leaving the airport with his wife. Airport security ensures a smooth passage for the cricketer, as he heads toward the parking area.
In the video, Tendulkar’s wife sits in the front passenger seat, while he opens the rear of the Range Rover to place their luggage. He then takes his place behind the wheel, driving the luxury SUV away. The model shown is the SV PHEV version, which is the first time Sachin has been seen driving a Range Rover.
While typical Range Rover colors like black, white, and emerald green are common, Tendulkar chose the striking Sedona Red for his SUV. It’s likely that the interior was customized to his preferences, contributing to the vehicle’s overall price.
Since the launch of the latest Range Rover generation, many Indian celebrities have switched from German brands to the British marque. The SUV is praised for its premium design and luxury features, and local assembly of some variants has reduced costs, making it more attractive to buyers.
The Range Rover SV model offers features like captain seats, 24-way adjustable heated and cooled executive rear seats, a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual rear entertainment screens, and a Meridian 3D surround sound system, among other high-end amenities.
Equipped with advanced features, the SUV includes ADAS, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats for both front and rear, and a multifunctional steering wheel.
The SV PHEV model seen in the video is a Plug-in Hybrid, powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and an electric motor that together produce 542 PS. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. Sachin’s SUV is valued at Rs 4.9 crore (ex-showroom).
