Actor Ranvir Shorey recently spoke about his current relationship with his ex-wife, Konkona Sensharma, noting that they maintain a ‘cordial’ relationship and are dedicated to co-parenting their son, Haroon.
Ranvir and Konkona married in 2010 after a few years of dating, but they separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2020.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ranvir discussed their custody arrangement, revealing that Haroon splits his time equally between them. He mentioned that one reason he joined the reality show Bigg Boss was because his son would be on vacation with Konkona. Ranvir clarified that he never described himself as a ‘great father but terrible husband’, but explained their custody arrangement: “If we’re both in town, Haroon spends one week at each home. If Konkona is traveling for work, I stay with him, and if I’m away, she stays with him.”
Regarding how Haroon adjusts to this arrangement, Ranvir said, “He has managed quite well… While we might not have provided him with a single loving home, we’ve given him a single loving neighborhood. Konkona lives just 100 meters away, and there is a park in between, making the transition between homes seamless. We’ve worked hard to ensure that the move doesn’t feel burdensome for him.”
Ranvir described his relationship with Konkona as ‘cordial’ in terms of co-parenting. He also refrained from commenting on whether he regrets any past romantic relationships. He addressed their separation on Bigg Boss, noting that their discussions are solely about their son. In a 2015 event, Ranvir had stated, “There is no one to blame for our separation. I take responsibility for what has happened.”
