Nagarjuna is thrilled that his son, Naga Chaitanya, has found love again with actress Sobhita Dhulipala.
Currently, he is like any proud father, continuously praising his son and warding off any negativity surrounding their happiness. In a recent interview with Times, Nagarjuna mentioned Sobhita’s family’s positive opinion of Chay, stating, “Sobhita’s family really likes Chay. I can’t blame them—my son is a wonderful person who deserves happiness. I’m very proud that both my sons have grown into fine men.” This comment drew criticism from some online users who reminded him of similar remarks he made about Chay during his previous marriage to Samantha.
One user remarked, “He said the same thing during Chay’s first marriage.” Another pointed out, “No father would call his son a fool or an idiot.” A third user commented, “If they were such fine men, why did Shriya leave Akhil and Sam leave Chay? This seems like typical ‘Raja Beta’ syndrome.”
Regarding the swift engagement, Nagarjuna explained, “Sobhita and Chay make a fantastic couple who deeply care for each other. We chose this date because it was deemed very auspicious. Both families consulted astrological charts and, finding August 8 to be a favorable day, decided to proceed with the engagement.”
When asked about future marriage plans, he said, “Not immediately. We opted for a quick engagement due to the auspicious timing, and since Chay and Sobhita are committed to marrying each other, we decided to move forward.”
Nagarjuna also praised Sobhita, saying, “I have known her for a long time. Although Chay met Sobhita only two years ago, I have known her for six years. I admired her performance in Adivi Sesh’s film ‘Goodachari’ and expressed my appreciation to her. Since then, we’ve had many conversations about cinema, life, and philosophy. Sobhita is very knowledgeable.”
On August 8, Nagarjuna announced the engagement and shared pictures of Chay and Sobhita, making the couple the center of attention.
