Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, famous in India for her role as the female lead in Shah Rukh Khan’s film *Raees*, celebrated her son Azlan’s 15th birthday on Sunday. To mark the occasion, she posted a cherished throwback photo from the day Azlan was born.
On Instagram, Mahira revealed that she was only 24 years old when Azlan was born. The photo shows her newborn son gazing up at her from a hospital room. She wrote, “A 24-year-old me, looking at my entire world stare at me – my one and my only Azlan.”
She prayed for Azlan’s safety and well-being, expressing a wish for all children to lead happy, healthy lives and to be shielded from harm. She included a traditional prayer, “May Allah keep my Azlan and all children safe, bless them with happy and long lives, guide them to the right path, and protect them from evil. Ameen. Ameen. As my Ama says – saari maaoon ke dil thanday rakh ya rabb. Ameen inshAllah (sic).”
Mahira also reminisced about listening to The Beatles and Michael Jackson during her pregnancy with Azlan, noting that he still enjoys their music.
Upon posting the photo, celebrities praised its cuteness. Ananya Panday commented with a heart emoji, while Mouni Roy responded with several evil eye emojis.
Previously, Mahira was married to her childhood sweetheart, Pakistani actor and filmmaker Ali Askari. They married in 2007 and had Azlan in 2009, but divorced in 2015, which Mahira described as “the most difficult and painful time” of her life.
