Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Kartik Aaryan were seen together at Mumbai airport on Sunday night after attending an event in Bengaluru. Upon their return, they were photographed by paparazzi, sharing a warm goodbye hug before heading to their respective cars.
The duo is set to collaborate on an upcoming untitled film, with Kartik in the lead role. Directed by Sandeep Modi, the movie is scheduled for release on August 15, 2025, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd. Karan had announced the project on Instagram in November 2023, expressing excitement about the collaboration.
Despite reported differences in the past, Kartik and Karan reunited at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne a few months ago. Their alleged fallout occurred during the production of Dostana 2 in 2021, where Kartik was initially cast opposite Janhvi Kapoor.
In his upcoming projects, Kartik will be seen in Kabir Khan’s “Chandu Champion,” based on a real-life sports story, slated for release on June 14, 2024. He will also reprise his role as ‘Rooh Baba’ in the third installment of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” directed by Anees Bazmee and co-starring Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri, set to hit theaters on Diwali 2024.
