“Hrithik Roshan Reveals Father’s Struggles, Kader Khan’s Influence, and the Risks Behind His Bollywood Debut”

Hrithik Roshan is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, known for his charm and dance moves. His debut film, *Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai*, captivated audiences, showcasing his talent. Before this, Hrithik had small roles in several films and always dreamed of becoming an actor.

When Hrithik starred in his father Rakesh Roshan’s directorial debut, he became an instant sensation. He later showed his versatility in films like *Koi Mil Gaya*, *Krrish 3*, *Lakshya*, *Dhoom 2*, *Jodha Akbar*, *Guzaarish*, *Agneepath*, and many more. However, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh, had warned him about the challenges of acting.

Rakesh Roshan had faced many struggles as an actor, which led him to advise Hrithik to pursue an alternative career if acting didn’t work out. Hrithik revealed in a throwback interview with film critic Anupama Chopra that he had considered studying special effects at one point.

During the interview, Hrithik spoke about how veteran actor Kader Khan made his life difficult at a crucial point. Hrithik recalled that Kader Khan suggested to his father that Hrithik should attend Bhagubhai Polytechnic for a course in special effects. Hrithik described this period as a “scary time” in his life, as Kader Khan insisted that this would be a good career option.

Hrithik shared a humorous story about how his father, Rakesh, followed Kader Khan’s advice. Rakesh suggested Hrithik attend Bhagubhai Polytechnic to learn skills like fixing air conditioners and fridges. Hrithik found this idea quite amusing at the time.

After the success of *Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai*, Hrithik’s career faced some setbacks with a few of his films failing at the box office, which left him troubled. Actress Ameesha Patel, in a YouTube interview with Siddharth Kannan, mentioned how Hrithik appeared disturbed during this phase.

In another interview with the BBC, Hrithik revealed the enormous financial risk his father took to launch him in *Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai*. The film had a budget of Rs. 3 crore, and Rakesh Roshan mortgaged their house and car to fund it. Hrithik mentioned that Rakesh had taken similar risks earlier when producing his first film, *Khudgarz*, and both times, the gamble paid off.
