From rising star to cover muse, Triptii Dimri takes centre stage in Grazia India’s September issue

13th September 2024: One of India’s current national crushes, Triptii Dimri, graces the cover of Grazia India‘s September issue. She debuted on Grazia’s Cool List, fresh off her breakout performances in Qala and Bulbbul. Today, Triptii has established herself as one of Bollywood’s most promising talents. Riding high on the success of Animal, and recent re-release of Laila Majnu, she gears up to captivate audiences once again with her exciting role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. As she graces our September cover, she has emerged as a star who has firmly cemented her place in the industry with her undeniable talent and charisma.

Highlighting on what excites the artist in her upcoming movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Triptii said, “Drama is my favourite genre, and I know that I am good at it. But doing a comedy film really scares me. But it’s good, because my acting coach told me once that you should be scared the day you feel like you know everything, and all the things feel easy – that’s the day you are gone as an actor. Being an actor, our passion is driven by our hunger for more, and while comedy as a genre is very new to me, the fear of it excites me, too. I don’t want to feel comfortable or complacent. On the sets of Bad Newzz, I got to work with Vicky (Kaushal) and Ammy (Virk), and humour comes to them so naturally. Even Rajkummar (Rao), with whom I have yet another film in the works titled Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, I have learnt so much from because he’s such a natural.”

Reflecting on her journey, Triptii got candid about her debut film, as a leading lady in Laila Majnu (2018) which recently returned to the big screen. Initially met with modest results, the romantic drama found its audience six years later, achieving remarkable success in its second run. Talking about her growth as an actress over these years, she shared, “Six years ago, when the film came out, we could barely look beyond the audience’s reaction to the film. You watch the movie and find flaws in pretty much every scene; however, today, my thought process couldn’t be further from that. We all got a bit emotional while rewatching the film because this time around, the whole thing playing out on the screen just seemed flawless.”

As Triptii continues to reach new milestones, one film at a time, she has some exciting projects in the pipeline, including Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao. With her undeniable talent and rising prominence, the actress has established herself as a formidable force in Bollywood. Her journey, which started from humble beginnings, has blossomed into one of remarkable success and versatility, as reflected on the cover of Grazia India’s September issue.
