“Alia Bhatt’s *Jigra* Controversy Escalates as Divya Khossla Accuses Film of Copying *Savi*”

The controversy surrounding Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s film *Jigra* continues to escalate. After actress Divya Khossla, wife of Bhushan Kumar, accused Alia and the film’s team of ‘copying’ her film *Savi*, she criticized Karan Johar for using a derogatory term to dismiss her claims.

Divya recently took to her Instagram to accuse Alia and the *Jigra* team of manipulating box office figures, alleging that Alia bought tickets to inflate the film’s numbers. In response, Karan posted a message implying that silence is a better response to foolishness, without naming anyone. Divya countered this by stating that the truth often offends those who reject it.

In a Hindustan Times interview, Divya expressed her frustration towards Karan’s derogatory comments aimed at her for exposing the *Jigra* makers, questioning the appropriateness of calling her a fool for highlighting unethical practices. She emphasized that if she faces this treatment, newcomers in the industry might suffer even more. Divya firmly stated she doesn’t require a PR stunt, as she is already well-known.

Divya also criticized Alia, who is praised for her role in *Jigra*, suggesting that true heroism lies in standing against wrongdoing. She urged that the audience should make decisions based on merit rather than financial influence.

Reiterating her claim, Divya maintained that *Jigra* is a copy of *Savi*, asserting both films share the same storyline, with *Savi* having released in May 2024.

As of now, Alia has not publicly addressed the controversy. She has been sharing positive reviews and updates about *Jigra* but remains silent on the accusations.

On October 12, Divya posted a photo of an empty theater during a *Jigra* screening, alleging that the film is not drawing audiences. She expressed her disbelief over the empty seats and accused Alia of manipulating ticket sales while questioning why the media is not reporting the truth.

Regarding the films, *Savi*, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor, tells the story of a housewife, played by Divya, who fights to free her husband from prison in England. In contrast, *Jigra* follows Alia’s character, Satya, on a quest to save her brother Ankur, who is imprisoned abroad.

*Jigra*, which was released on October 11, reportedly earned Rs 1.6 crore on its fifth day, totaling Rs 19.85 crore. In comparison, *Savi* earned Rs 13 crore throughout its entire run.
