Actress Divyanka Tripathi and her actor-husband Vivek Dahiya find themselves stranded in Florence, Italy, following a robbery incident where they lost their passports and money. Divyanka took to Instagram on July 11 to share the unfortunate news and seek assistance from the Indian embassy as they are now without cash in a foreign country.
In an interview with ETimes, Vivek explained that they were exploring accommodations in Florence when thieves broke into their car, stealing their passports, money, and other valuables. Despite approaching local authorities, they were disappointed to find that the police were unable to help due to the absence of CCTV cameras in the area and limited operating hours of the police station.
The couple had been documenting their vacation on social media, sharing reels and photos with their followers. They marked their wedding anniversary on July 7 during their stay in Italy.
Divyanka and Vivek, who have been happily married for nearly eight years since their arranged marriage, also addressed criticisms about their situation, clarifying that the car was parked in a secured resort property when the theft occurred, and urging others to offer support or empathy rather than criticism during this challenging time.
