Women’s Voices Now Honors LILAN BOWDEN (Disney/ABC’s Director’s Program) with 2nd Women Making Waves Award.

Bowden will accept the award and give remarks at the 9th Women’s Voices Now Film Festival Awards Ceremony

(Los Angeles, CA, March 2023) – In celebrating the impact of women on and off screen, Women’s Voices Now will honor Actor/Director Lilan Bowden with the Women Making Waves Award at 12pmPST, on March 23, 2023, at the live, virtual Women’s Voices Now Film Festival Awards Ceremony. Bowden will participate in a Q&A on the festival’s theme, “Holding Ground Under Siege”. She is most known for her role as “Bex” on Disney Channel’s Television Academy Honors and GLAAD award winning show Andi Mack. You can see her currently on Apple TV’s Shrinking, or Netflix’s series Murderville.

We envision a global culture shift in which communities and institutions believe in the value of gender equality, and adapt their behaviors and actions to support systematic advancement of women’s and girls’ rights. WVN has held special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2017.
