Karan Johar shared a video announcement on Instagram, captioning it, “Wrapped in romance, here comes the best Christmas gift ever from us to you! Starring Kartik Aaryan, *Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri* will hit cinemas in 2026. Directed by Sameer Vidwans.”
Produced by Dharma Productions, the film will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, with direction by Sameer Vidwans. However, details about the female lead have not yet been revealed by the makers.
Dharma Movies and Namah Pictures recently posted a cryptic image on social media, showing a King of Hearts and an Ace of Hearts, which sparked intrigue. Fans quickly speculated that the initials ‘K’ and ‘A’ were linked to Kartik Aaryan, amplifying excitement for a possible project. Kartik fueled the buzz by liking the post and commenting a red heart, further intensifying the rumors. Soon after, Karan Johar confirmed the collaboration, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation.
Kartik Aaryan was initially cast in the lead role of *Dostana 2*, a romantic comedy produced by Dharma Productions, alongside Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya. However, due to on-set conflicts, the film was eventually shelved. Despite this, both Kartik and Karan Johar chose to remain tight-lipped, with Dharma later announcing plans to recast and reshoot the film.
