Two-time Olympic medalist and renowned Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has gotten engaged. The engagement ceremony took place on Saturday, December 14, with IT professional Venkata Dutta Sai.
Sindhu shared the happy news with her fans through an Instagram post. She also revealed that her wedding functions will commence on December 20, with a grand reception planned in Hyderabad on December 24.
In her Instagram post, PV Sindhu shared a picture from the engagement ceremony, capturing the joy of both her and Venkata Dutta Sai on their special day. The couple, smiling brightly and holding their engagement rings, added a personal touch by cutting a cake together. Sindhu accompanied the photo with a quote by Lebanese writer Khalil Gibran: “When love calls you, follow it, because love gives nothing but itself.”
The couple is set to marry on December 22 in Udaipur. Sindhu’s wedding announcement came shortly after her victory at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow two weeks ago. The wedding festivities will begin in Udaipur on December 20, with the main ceremony on December 22. Sindhu has invited several notable figures, including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah, to the event.
PV Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, shared details about the engagement with PTI, explaining that both families had known each other for some time, but the formal decision was made only a month ago. He mentioned that the timing was perfect, as their schedules would become busy starting in January. Sindhu is expected to participate in the Malaysia Open Super 1000 tournament in early January.
Fans curious about Sindhu’s future husband, Venkata Dutta Sai, learned that he is an accomplished professional. He is the Executive Director of Hyderabad-based Posidex Technologies and has a strong background in finance, data science, and asset management.
Venkata Dutta completed his studies in Liberal Studies and Business, earning a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education, followed by a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University in 2018. He began his career with JSW, where he worked as a summer intern and an in-house consultant, even managing the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals. In 2019, he took on dual leadership roles as Managing Director of Sour Apple Asset Management and Executive Director of Posidex Technologies. He currently leads marketing, HR initiatives, and global partnerships at Posidex Technologies.
