Kangana Ranaut speaks for the first time in Parliament.

Kangana Ranaut, a prominent Bollywood figure, has recently garnered attention for her involvement with the BJP and her victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, her hometown.

Known for her bold demeanor and direct communication style, Kangana has now taken on her role as a leader in Mandi, actively engaging in parliamentary sessions and advocating for her constituents. Recently, she shared her debut parliamentary session experience on Instagram.

In her social media post, Kangana Ranaut uploaded a video from the parliament where she addressed the assembly on the topic of Himachali art and culture. She began by expressing gratitude to the honorable speaker for the opportunity to voice her concerns. Kangana highlighted the endangered status of various art forms from Mandi, including the traditional construction technique ‘kath-kuni’ and the use of sheepskin in crafting clothing items like jackets, caps, shawls, and sweaters. She emphasized their value abroad compared to their diminishing presence in India. Additionally, she spoke about the folk music of Himachal Pradesh, particularly tribal music from regions like Spiti, Kinnaur, and Bharmour, stressing their endangered status and questioning the government about measures being taken to preserve them. Kangana captioned the video with appreciation for the chance to speak about Mandi in parliament.

Fans responded positively to Kangana’s parliamentary speech, praising her articulation and some even foreseeing her as the future Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, affectionately calling her “Queen.” Her effective representation in parliament was widely admired.

Meanwhile, in her upcoming work commitments, Kangana Ranaut will be starring in the film ‘Emergency,’ alongside Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and others.
