Radhika Merchant exuded regal charm as she walked down the aisle alongside her father Viren Merchant. She was resplendent in a stunning red and white lehenga designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for her wedding day.
What particularly caught attention was Radhika’s choice of jewellery, which she borrowed from her sister Anjali. Her bridal ensemble was adorned with a polki kundan choker, maangtika, haathphool, and earrings. Adding a sentimental touch, she layered her jewellery with a family heirloom previously worn by her grandmother, mother, and sister at their own weddings.
Interestingly, Anjali had worn the same polki kundan choker, maangtika, haathphool, and earrings for her own wedding in 2020. Radhika had also previously showcased this jewellery set at Isha Ambani’s reception back in 2018.
At Radhika’s wedding, Anjali reciprocated by re-wearing jewellery borrowed from her sister. She opted for a gold and purple lehenga set from Jigya Patel’s couture collection, featuring intricate Abhala Bharat embroidery on a backless choli and dupatta. Her accessories included a gold polki and diamond choker, a diamond cut-work flower necklace, polki earrings, ear chains, maangtika, haathphool, kadhas, and rings.
Anjali complemented her attire with a nude makeup palette, featuring smoky gold eyeshadow, tinted pink lips, blush-tinted cheeks, and a bindi. Her hair was styled in a sleek centre-parted bun.
The Merchant sisters’ mutual exchange of jewellery at each other’s weddings serves as a heartwarming display of sisterly affection, setting a touching example for siblings everywhere.
Anant and Radhika tied the knot on July 12 in a grand ceremony attended by esteemed guests from the entertainment, business, and political spheres. Notable attendees included Rajinikanth, Ranveer Singh, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ram Charan, as well as international figures such as Boris Johnson, John Cena, and Kim Kardashian.
